How to use cornstarch to take care of your skin?

Cornstarch is not only used to prepare delicious desserts, it can also be used as a very effective beauty mask to fade the signs of aging.

So you will need:

- 1 tbsp cornstarch

- 1 tablespoon plain yogurt

– ¼ glass of carrot juice

- 150ml of water

In a bowl, mix 50 ml of water with the cornstarch and stir until the mixture is homogeneous and no longer has any lumps.

Next, bring the remaining amount of water to a boil and stir in the cornstarch mixture. Let everything cool before adding the natural yogurt and carrot juice. Mix to combine everything.

Using a brush, apply the mask to the face and leave it on for 40 minutes before rinsing the face with lukewarm water. Use this mask regularly once a week for 1 month to obtain convincing results and say goodbye to facial wrinkles.

Enlarged pores can be unsightly and alter the appearance of the skin. It is possible to remedy this with the mask based on this white powder. You will therefore need:

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- 2 tbsp pure honey

– Hot water

Mix cornstarch and honey together before adding water little by little until you get a smooth paste. Be sure to cleanse your face thoroughly and dry it before applying this mask on your face. Emphasize the T-zone of the face which includes the forehead, nose and chin. Leave for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. This mask is to be applied once a week for more efficiency.

Other uses of cornstarch

This powder can be used to soothe skin irritations, skin reactions or even sunburn. To do this, you only have to mix 3 tablespoons of cornstarch with a little cold water to form a consistent paste and apply it to the affected area. Leave to dry then rinse with cold water.

It can also be used as a mattifying powder to replace powder in cosmetics. Applied in a thin layer, it matifies the skin and reduces the appearance of dilated pores.
