    Additional products to lengthen

For ladies who want to lengthen their nails, there are two possibilities – gel or acrylic false nails. The techniques for making gel or acrylic nails are similar, however the products used and the lasting effect are different.

If you have short nails but want to lengthen them, you will need some special products like caps (and cap glue) or acrylic powder, gel brush, buffing pad, etc.

    Gel nails

We use a viscous product to do the edge extensions. The extension can be made directly on the nail using stencils (self-adhesive paper), or capsules (extension to stick on the nails). The nails look more natural, they are flexible but less resistant to blows.

    Acrylic nails

We use a powder and a liquid. You can always choose between capsules or direct extension. The nails look less natural, but they are stronger.

Different lengthening techniques are tailored to each taste for best results

Gel manicure: what are the basic techniques?

In general, there are two techniques based on UV curing – gel nails and semi-permanent nail polish (soak-off nails”).

    Gel nails

In the first case, it is rather "false nails" or an extension of our nails. In order to give a certain length to short nails, we use a gel product that we must first apply to the nails, after modeling it and catalyzing it under a lamp.

    Semi-permanent varnish

In the second case, a semi-permanent varnish is applied which must also be hardened under a UV lamp.

    Differences

Thus, one of the main differences between the two techniques is in the level of removal. The soft gel manicure (semi-permanent) can be deposited by solvent while for the hard gel nails mechanical means are needed.
