Katy Perry surprises her fans with her new coloring

Katy Perry is going back to the dark side! The singer unveiled her new hair color at the Country Music Awards ceremony in Nashville this Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

The star wore a brown leather Vivienne Westwood dress that perfectly matched her freshly done brunette hair color. A new look that caused a sensation on social networks and which did not fail to make fans of Katy Perry nostalgic for her first clips of the 2000s.

To prove she's not fooling her fans yet again with a wig, the singer shared videos of her hair dye process on her Instagram account. She actually appears in full hair transformation, her hair in the hands of her colorist in action. "I just think it's time to give them all they want," she wrote in the caption to her post. So this is the first time Katy Perry has officially gone brown since she went platinum blonde in 2017.

A new color reminiscent of her iconic retro look

Her brown hair was the center of attention in her makeover that evening, since her make-up was relatively minimalist compared to the rest of the look. On the hairstyle side, Katy Perry sported a high bun well plated at the root which particularly highlighted her blue eyes. The 37-year-old singer demonstrates in beauty that she still sports this style as well as at the time of “I Kissed a Girl”.

This return to her natural brunette hair color seems to please her sweetheart Orlando Bloom, who commented "Finally" with a red heart emoji under Katy Perry's Instagram post.
