Our life through the filter represented by the port of the mask

The mask, a new element essential to our lives

In a few weeks, the COVVI-19 forced us to discover new sometimes technical terms but which are becoming essential for our present and our future. We have all become very well informed about surgical masks, FFP1, FFP2, FFP3: on tutorials to make masks in several layers, fabric; But also on how to wash them, dry them, iron them, so that they can put them back, in complete safety.

If some Asian countries are keen on masks it is of course to avoid contagiousness and protect others but also because they are often very polluted countries and everyone tries to protect themselves from fine particles so numerous in the atmosphere. It is therefore not associated with a particular situation but integrated into everyone's daily life, for a long time.

In the West, the mask was hitherto associated with the medical world and certain trades, particularly in crafts, public works ... And then the COVVI-19 has arrived, it has changed many of our bearings, plunged us into thedoubt, uncertainty, fear also for our lives. After many errors, hesitations, also discovering the severity of this virus, we have happened to have masks now for all our outdoor activities. Not easy to include such a tool, especially since it is newly recommended in a difficult period and to fight against an invisible enemy and real mortality although moderate. It is therefore in this disturbing, tumultuous, destabilizing context that we must learn to make an alliance with this end of nothing that represents everything. The mask comes to concretize the general fear of the violence of this pandemic and its magnitude. He also reminds us that he can protect us if we put it and if we respect the distancing security measures...He also makes us fear for the life of our loved ones, of those we love, from which we have sometimes been separated for several weeks due to confinement.

Notre vie au travers du filtre que représente le port du masque

Caregivers, maintenance staff, paramedics, kitchen staff, those who make it possible to ensure the whole food chain, management also waste in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, retirement homes but also the variousmedical institutes ... All have already been, for several weeks, strict but necessary procedures and protocols to protect themselves and sick people. They had to adapt so much in their way of working, their pace of work, care techniques etc..While supporting masks that are not always suitable, sometimes missing over-blovers, gloves, glasses when there were ... they are at the heart of the pandemic and perfectly aware that these protections are essential to avoid the disease. Some people missed it and paid for their lives.

For the general public, we had to discover the distancing, confinement, hydro-alcoholic frost, gloves sometimes, adopt the hand cleaning reflexes, to avoid touching your face, trying to find maskstoo rare.Of these objects hitherto little known and little used, which come to take a preponderant place in our daily life."Reaction-adaptation" often repeated Darwin. We are surely having to adapt to this exceptional situation, unprecedented and which lasts.
