Secrets to Sarah Jessica Parker's radiant complexion after 50

Apart from work, she opts for a simple and minimalist make-up... She doesn't wear make-up every day. Just a smoky eye, a little color on the cheeks and some gloss. This is her go-to look for going out.

When you do her make-up, do you do it instinctively or do you allow yourself to experiment?

I would say that we can experiment, but always from a base that we have defined together. Her smoky eye, for example, can evolve into different shades of eyeliner and blush. Some scenes of And Just Like That called for a fresh look for the day, it was very successful. The idea was for Carrie's makeup to look easy and unfussy.

How would you describe the evolution of SJP's beauty look? What do you think it tells us about her?

I think the evolution of her beauty over the years reflects what's going on in her life. She's a wife, a mother, an actress and an entrepreneur with a minister's agenda! She loves fashion and the arts, and when she wears high fashion for an event, she completes the look with makeup that is outside of her comfort zone, which seems to delight her.

What are your favorite makeup looks for her?

I really liked what we did for the People’s Choice Awards in 2017. And also on the advertising campaigns for Intimissimi and Stella Artois. Without forgetting the cover of Vogue, of course!
