Should you match your nail polish to your lipstick?

While summer, like the peachy complexion, is already far away, it's time to switch to winter makeup time. We therefore forget the no make-up trend of the summer season, to finally color lips and nails in more vibrant shades. On the lipstick side, however, you will have to choose your side: that of dark and deep lips colored with purple, red-black and burgundy with chocolate accents in matte or creamy versions or that of a shiny, lacquered or the shaded effect in brighter colours.

Ditto on the nails, duck blue, khaki, taupe or carmine red confront nude, baby pink or even transparent varnish. But what can be the recipe for a successful chromatic marriage? During the day, we play the contrast card. We choose to focus on the mouth or the nails: we take two opposite shades like khaki and coral or deep blue and bright pink. Exception, however, for the matching carmine red lipstick and nail polish. In the evening, we dare to coordinate nails and lips; thus the plum lipstick look associated with wine varnish becomes less dramatic for those who are afraid of a possible gothic effect. Ready to defend yourself against the monotony of winter tooth and nail?
