Spreading semen on a woman's belongings is what Koreans call "sperm terrorism". And some are calling for heavier penalties.

A rare form of aggression that seems to be on the rise: "sperm terrorism", as it is called in South Korea. Men ejaculate on objects belonging to women. As Madmoizelle reports, feminist groups are calling for the practice to become a sex crime. The Korean Womenlink group considers this a hate crime against women. Baek Hye-ryun, a South Korean Democratic politician, sees it as "sexual humiliation".

The Korean magazine The Women's News has taken stock: between 2019 and 2021, 44 court cases concerned "sperm terrorists". Last May, a man was sentenced for having enjoyed six times in the cafe of one of his colleagues. His sentence ? 2,500 euro fine. What is recognized by Justice is the degradation of someone else's property and not an attack, an assault or a sexual crime. The same goes for a man tried in 2019 who had to pay a fine of 435 dollars, reports the Guardian.
