Team ice cream or team sorbet? — Editorial Clash

It is once again with the greatest journalistic objectivity that the editorial staff has tried to respond to this unprecedented clash: sorbet VS ice cream. Make way for a chilling duel.

We split for still water and sparkling water, it's time to face off again for a whole different clash of the summer.

Our ready-to-race foals are:

It’s time to dudududududu duel!

Pro-ice cream people

I don't like any fruit. NONE.

Apart from strawberries with a lot of sugar and grenadine, at the limit — and I only eat them if I have no choice.

So I don't really see the point of eating sorbets. Especially when you can have triple chocolate vanilla caramel ICE CREAM with cookie pieces on it!

I love ice cream.

For me, choosing a sorbet over ice cream is like choosing a salad at McDo.

I don't understand this deprivation, this punishment that people in favor of sorbet inflict on themselves.

Besides, I don't want to fuck off but what kind of ice cream is stored in the fridge next to a severed head in the movie American Psycho? You'll never Gess. Sorbet.

Sherbets are the ice cream of sad people. They will tell you that it is more refreshing, less sweet… Do not believe them.

Guys, if you want fruit just eat it!

Have these people ever downed a Häagen-Dazs Macadamia in front of Sous le Soleil?

Because I do, and I can tell you that no lemon, strawberry or blueberry sorbet can compete with that. If I want a popsicle, I suck a Mister Freeze thank you.

Not that one, I'm talking about ice cream with the snowman.

What is better than sorbet, in ice cream, are these flavors, each more delicious than the next.

Someone who takes a white peach sorbet when he could have an Oreo ice cream, mint chocolate or caramel nougatine chips, is someone who does not love life.

At first glance, I have nothing against sorbet. It's frozen fruit, there's an idea... but then compared to ice cream, they're two different worlds!

Team ice cream or team sorbet? — Editorial Clash

The sugar argument barely holds up: sorbet is always 1000 times sweeter than the fruit it tries in vain to imitate. So if you want fruit, eat fruit! Or drink a fresh fruit juice at the limit.

It doesn't make sense to eat sorbet.

No sense. I do not know what to say.

In contrast, ice cream is a real dessert that you can eat all year round. Oh, the satisfaction of a Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter or a Häagen Dazs Vanilla Macadamia before a good series, in November…

That we can love sorbet ok. But I don't even understand how it can COMPARE to ice cream.

I have always hated sorbets.

I am totally fond of crème de caramel and vanilla fat (chocolate, ok, but either only on the outside or only inside the ice cream).

As a result, my passion since childhood has been Dulce de Leche Häagen Dazs pots, I can eat 12 in a row.

I never understood why we were given multicolored rockets in the canteen in primary school (big childhood injury), so I gave them to my friends all the time (super good friend tavu).

In fact, for me, ice is not for cooling off, showers and water are for that! It's just an opportunity to eat something very sweet and very satisfying for me and my saddlebags.

You can't test.

Anyway, I've never liked fruit stuff, I don't see the point (fruit yogurt is nonsense unless there are pieces in it).

So definitely team ice cream… and as an accompaniment: a glass of cold water to wash down the sugar!

Pro-sorbet people

It’s simple. In my life, there is one thing that I can eat without taking into account the capacity of my belly or the state of my gastric juices: BLACKCURRANT SORBET.

When I was a kid, I took the whole baccalaureate on my own. It was a bit toasty considering I ended up with black lips.

One day, one of my childhood friends told me that only her grandmother Marie-Claire liked it...

So what I have to say is that ONLY MARIE-CLAIRE AND I are sophisticated enough to love what life has to offer.

And know that refinement is my life.

Me and my blackcurrant sorbet.

Otherwise, the problem with ice cream is that personally, in summer I eat ice cream to cool off…

Where did you see that swallowing so much sugar for so little water was refreshing?!

Let's be honest and see together that ice cream is sugar and fat. It will never be worth the finesse of blackcurrant sorbet.

SORBETS ARE THE BEST THING.

Here you go.

I'm not going to argue anymore. Yes, do I have to? So ok: ice cream is good, but in winter.

Chocolate is like clementines: it stinks of December.

And frankly, isn't winter already long enough without us bringing all its elements with us in summer?

HELL.

The finesse of the incomparable sorbet.

Sherbet is synonymous with freshness, bikini and even SEX. Honestly, who has never wanted to spread a watermelon sorbet on the body of a handsome young man named Maurice?

Nobody, or else people in bad faith.

The sorbet tingles the tongue, deposits a fruity taste deep in the throat, and makes any normally constituted individual blush with pleasure.

So, join the team of people who love freshness, men called Maurice, the acidity of fruit and summer.

Plus if you join my team, I'll give you 50 balls. So, convinced?

Out-of-competition people

Both options are torture for my poor sensitive teeth. It takes me ten years to finish an ice cream because I find it too cold and in general it melts on me…

When will there be an ice cream or a sorbet for us, the fragile ones?

My teeth when I eat a small piece of ice cream.

I love both options so I'm Switzerland (neutral, I don't want to choose)!

When I was younger, I loved vanilla-only ice cream (I didn’t like chocolate). It was extremely boring in terms of a taste feast.

Then I ventured into new horizons, starting with the yogurt taste (the party). Then I discovered chocolate and especially the Magnum!

My journey through ice cream then continued towards flavors of coconut, pistachio, etc.

As I don't like fruit, I've always been a little cautious about trying fruit sorbets. Then growing up, I started to sharpen my Marie Chan-Chan palate and taste the alcoholic sorbets (pina colada, a treat!).

Today, I taste all types of ice cream!

My favorite thing is to order 3 flavors from the ice cream parlor: mango sorbet, straciatella and blackcurrant cheesecake. I have everything and it's very colorful!

And you, which team do you join?
