A national action plan against gender-based and sexual violence in higher education and research was launched on October 15, 2021 so that "fear changes sides", indicated the Minister of Higher Education. Massive training plan, reinforcement of reporting systems, enhanced communication, promotion of the commitment of students and staff, Service-Public.fr reveals the main axes of this national action plan.

The national action plan against gender-based and sexual violence in higher education and research includes 21 measures articulated around 4 main axes:

Massive training and awareness plan

This training and awareness plan on gender-based and sexual violence for the entire higher education community includes:

Strengthening reporting mechanisms and their operation

Reporting systems will be strengthened:

Enhanced communication

Reinforced communication to better prevent, to feel concerned, to know better:

Valuation of commitment

Valorization of the commitment of the student community and staff:

Namely: Resulting from the reflections of a working group set up in the spring of 2021, made up of the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry responsible for Equality between women and men, the conferences of the grandes écoles and universities and hearings from student organizations and trade unions, this national plan is endowed with 7 million euros over the period 2021–2025.
